1954 United States Washington Quarter struck at the San Francisco Mint, bearing the "S" mint mark on the reverse below the wreath. The obverse features a left-facing portrait of George Washington with the inscriptions "LIBERTY" across the top, "IN GOD WE TRUST" to the left of the bust, and the date "1954" at the bottom. The reverse design showcases a heraldic eagle with outstretched wings, perched on a bundle of arrows with two olive branches below. Surrounding the eagle are the inscriptions "UNITED STATES OF AMERICA," the motto "E PLURIBUS UNUM," and "QUARTER DOLLAR" at the bottom.
