<B>1954 10C PR68 Ultra Cameo NGC.</B></I> Roosevelt dimes are not often seen with Deep or Ultra Cameo contrast, partly because the small coins have little room for fields, especially on the obverse where the central portrait dominates. To illustrate that point, it is instructive to note that just 8 proofs from 1954 have been designated as Deep or Ultra Cameo by PCGS and NGC combined, from an original mintage of 233,300 pieces. This example certainly seems well qualified, with amazingly deep reflectivity in the fields and sharply frosted ice-white devices. It is also immaculately preserved, and the design motifs are crisply impressed, as expected.
