<B>1953 Roger Maras (Maris) Signed Photograph.</B></I> Early image finds the man who would be King in the first season of his professional baseball career, representing the Fargo-Moorhead Twins, the Northern League Cleveland Indians affiliate. While this tough vintage photo of the eighteen-year old slugger would be quite a find in its own right, its the "Roger Maras" autograph that should set collectors' hearts racing. Purportedly due to rude chants from fans in the grandstands, Roger changed the spelling of his surname to "Maris" in 1955, a full two years before his ascension to the Majors. Unsurprisingly, very few examples of his signature utilizing the early spelling are known today, particularly not on photographs. This 3x5" shot exhibits only minor corner wear that causes no concern, and the autograph itself is literally unimprovable. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.
