<B>1953-D 50C MS66 Full Bell Lines PCGS.</B></I> Rick Tomaska (2002) writes of the 1953-D half dollar that: " ... few examples exist with the clean surfaces and exotic color needed for a '66.' " He also indicates that: "Heavily bagmarked mint state examples are the rule for this key date." The Premium Gem '53-D specimen for sale in this lot displays pleasing luster and whispers of delicate olive-green, burnt-orange, and forest-green patina. An obviously attentive strike leaves sharp impressions on the design elements, including not only the Full Bell Lines, but on most of the bell lettering as well. A couple of grade-consistent marks are noted on each side.
