<B>1953-54 Montreal Canadiens Team Signed Souvenir Stick.</B></I> Star-studded gathering of signatures from the historically significant Stanley Cup Finals 1953-54 Montreal Canadiens team comes to us here on the surface of a vintage souvenir hockey stick. Despite basically shunning the Canadiens and professional hockey as a whole, Jean Beliveau was happy to continue to play for his Quebec Senior Hockey League amateur squad the Quebec Aces, drawing the ire of Montreal head man Frank Selke, who had been trying for some time to secure the full-time services of the future Hall of Famer for years. In an unprecedented move, Selke purchased the entire QSHL, turned it into a professional league, and used his ownership of Beliveau's pro rights to make the star a Hab for the remainder of his career beginning with this '53-54 season. A total of 15 members of the team have checked in, including Beliveau, Rocket Richard, Boom-Boom Geoffrion, Doug Harvey, Bert Olmstead, Elmer Lach, Paul Meger, Floyd Curry and more.
