1952 Curly Lambeau Handwritten Signed Letter
1952 Curly Lambeau Handwritten Signed Letter. The heart and soul of the early Green Bay Packers, who provides his name to their "frozen tundra," suggests names of invitees to a banquet being held in his honor. Among the gentlemen whose presence he requests are pioneering sports agent Christy Walsh, who "had much to do with getting pro ball in L.A.," and A.B. Turnbull, "First president of Packers & lives out here now." Closing signature is in the desirable "Curly Lambeau" format. The single 8.5x11" page remains in terrific condition, with all ink continuing to register at a strength of 9+/10, and only original mailing folds and light toning to note. Lambeau is an essential to any early football autograph collection, and particularly those concentrating on Green Bay Packers history. Please also see the George Marshall signed letter to the same recipient that follows this lot. LOA from PSA/DNA.
