<B>1952-53 Toronto Maple Leafs Team Signed Book.</B></I> While the 1950 first edition of the book <I>Hockey Stars ... Today and Yesterday</B></I> leaves something to be desired in the way of outward physical appearance, the real appeal is in the 19 compelling autographs found in the inner front cover -- each applied by a member of the 1952-53 Toronto Maple Leafs squad. This particular team was significant for a number of reasons -- with the Maple Leaf organization freshly mired in the adverse effects of the Barilko Curse, the team was in a period of transition with new faces such as long-time Leaf Tim Horton coming on board and veterans such as Max Bentley moving on. Both Bentley and the rookie Horton have checked in here, with other such noteworthy inclusions as fellow Hall of Famers Ted Kennedy, George Armstrong, Harry Watson, Leo Boivin, Fern Flaman, and Harry Lumley.
