<B>1951 New York Yankees Team Signed Baseball.</B></I> For many fans of the New York Yankees, the invention of a time machine would be followed almost immediately by a trip back to 1951 for the chance to watch a veteran Joe DiMaggio and a rookie Mantle Mantle share the same green outfield grass of Yankee Stadium. We'll have to settle for this instead, however--an OAL (Harridge) ball dating from that single World Championship season when Number Five and Number Seven shared a Bronx dugout. Each appears here in 8/10 or better blue ink, surrounded by twenty-six equally strong signatures from men like Berra, Mize, Dickey, Martin, Reynolds, Woodling, Coleman, Bauer, McDougald, Raschi, Lopat and Crosetti. A light coating of pine tar has toned the ball somewhat, but has served its intended purpose of autograph preservation. With signatures just as strong as 1951 Yankee balls that have sold for tens of thousands of dollars, this baseball should find its way into a top-tier autograph collection. <I>LOA from PSA/DNA.</B></I>
