1951 Fender Telecaster Serial number 0981. A very early example of the first year "Telecaster" model. In the very early 50's television was quickly becoming the new Craze in the United States. Additionally, many people felt that the development of the television greatly benefited the Music Industry. It did not take long for Fender's general manager Don Randall to blend Television into Broadcaster and coin the "Telecaster" name. In April of 1951 the Telecaster name was cleared and shortly after first appeared in Fender trade magazines. This Rare example of an early 1951 "Telecaster" was a part of "Mac Yasuda's” personal guitar collection. Includes letter of authenticity from Mac, along with matching serial number copy of "Blackguard" book.
