This set of Anchor Hocking Sandwich Glass punch bowl and cups hails from the late 1950s. There is a punch bowl and 12 cups which are custard in color and 14 K gold-rimmed. This punch bowl does not have the stand that its counterpart, without the gold trim, has. The bowl is 10 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall, and the cups are the standard 21/4-inch by 3 3/4-inch punch cup size. All items are in absolute MINT condition!
The Sandwich Glass pattern began in reference to glassware produced by the Boston & Sandwich Glass Co., Cape Cod Glassworks, and similar companies near the town of Sandwich, Massachusetts in the early to late 19th century. The term began to be applied to certain 20th century glassmakers, specifically Anchor Hocking, Indiana Glass, Duncan and Miller, and Westmoreland. The Sandwich glass pattern generally has a flower and scroll motif with raised stippled dots. Most items now found in this pattern are recent and difficult to differentiate from the original Sandwich glass pieces.
Shipping is determined after checkout.
