<B>1950's Rogers Hornsby Single Signed Baseball.</B></I> "Any ballplayer that don't sign autographs for little kids ain't an American," Hornsby once suggested. "He's a communist." The Hall of Fame second baseman did his part to stay in the good graces of Senator Joe McCarthy with this offering, a massive and flawlessly rendered blue ink sweet spot signature upon an "Official Sandlot League" sphere. The autograph rates an 8.5/10, with the red and blue stitching and gorgeously toned horsehide very effectively recalling the official balls of the prewar Big Leagues.
