For 10 - 25 cents a lady can spray on her favorite perfume. Or in the case of being installed in the gentleman’s facilities colognes would be on offer. These rarely come up in working order and are often purchased non working in the $1,000- $1800 USD range by coin op and perfume collectors, many can also be seen in top classic car collection bathrooms. The picture of the pink one is for reference of what one of these looked like in the 1950 when install in higher end bar and hotel lady’s room facilities. Pastel colors were also available for the men’s room cologne machines, as well as white as is the case on the one we are selling.
Mechanically this perfect working example has been completely rebuilt inclusive of air pumps and replacement of vacuum lines. The case is presentable as is white, but if desired it would be a very easy restoration to paint a custom color or repaint in one of the classic fifties pastels. The difficult part of a total restoration has been done!
This example works on the highest denomination being 25 cents. The coin mechanisms on these are very forgiving accepting both USA and Canadian currency.
Condition: Mechanically restored, case presentable with patina
Estimate $500 - $3,000
