1950's Paramount sign, likely hung on their Los Angeles lot. Sign is for Paramount's short-lived television production company which lasted from the early 1950's to 1959, ending with a controversial takeover of the DuMont network that aired its programming. Royal blue and white metal sign reads ''Paramount Television Productions Inc. / A Subsidiary of / Paramount Pictures Corporation'' against the iconic Paramount logo. Single-sided sign has its original porcelain finish, and six .25'' holes encircle the sign so that it can be hung. Measures 20'' x 19.75'', in near fine condition.
