<B>Early to Mid-1950's Notre Dame Game Worn Helmet.</B></I> Golden "Riddell RK-2" gamer exhibits state of the art twelve-point suspension interior with molded exterior shell in single-bolt wide ridge style. Size 7 3/4. The helmet was drilled for a face mask, with the holes later filled in with ancient nuts and bolts for display without a mask, but clearly this helmet once fought on the side of the Irish. The extra-wide center ridge suggests lineman's use. Interior suspension and leather headband show minimal wear, suggesting later reconditioning. A very tough and desirable style.
