1950's-60's New York Knicks Game Worn Uniform Collection. Finding just a single uniform piece predating the Bill Bradley era of the New York Knicks is a difficult prospect, but you've found three here, allowing the serious fan to bring something truly unique into his collection. 1) 1953-57 home jersey attributed to Bob Knight or Buddy Ackerman. "New York" is sewn in navy tackle twill in a shallow arc across the chest, with number "3" sewn to chest and verso. Washing instructions and "MacGregor Size 38" labels inside rear tail. The "bumblebee" side striping characterizes this jersey as a highly desirable style. SCD A10. 2) 1953-57 shorts in matching "bumblebee" style to jersey. "MacGregor Size 36" and "Thorpe Sporting Goods" labels inside belted waistband. Light rust staining on right side does little to detract. SCD Authentic. 3) 1965 Barry Kramer warm-up jacket. Short-sleeved jacket, or shooting shirt, offers orange tackle twill "Knicks" spanning chest, with "Kramer" sewn across shoulders. Zippered collar. Inner rear tail holds washing instructions and "MacGregor Size 46" labels. SCD A10. All three pieces are stated as having "significant" wear by SCD Authentic. LOA from Lou Lampson.
