<td width="100%">
This is an Indian "hood" ornament--please look at the pictures, as I am not an expert on these things. Since I am not, I will describe it carefully. This is an Indian head apparently made of molded, hard, pumpkin-orange colored plastic. My guess is that it is meant to have a light on the inside--and I can only imagine how gorgeous it would be lit up. The Indian wears a war bonnet with a band that is black with diamond-shaped designs. The black on the band looks like it was painted on; there are tiny chips in the paint in a few spots. The feathers are molded clear plastic/lucite over what appears to be a painted or enameled background of colors (black, yellow, clear, orange, and yellow). The outer edge of the bonnet is scalloped metal (chrome?) as is the back. The back has embossed feathers, the back of the Indian's head, and 2 braids that extend down either side of the base. Around the edge of the bonnet in back, "Blackstone Mfg Co., Inc., USA, Copywrite 1950" is embossed. There is a screwtop in the middle of the back of the head; looking inside from the bottom (where there is a hole, maybe for a lightbulb?), you can see this screw extending over to the plastic of the face. On the bottom are 2 threaded holes for mounting screws.
