1950 Ford Two-Door Sedan 239 cid L-head V8 engine rated at 100 horsepower, two-barrel carburetor, three-speed standard transmission, coil spring front suspension, semi-elliptic rear leaf springs with live axle, four-wheel hydraulic drum brakes; wheelbase: 114"-The automotive press in Los Angeles labeled Ford's postwar car the "shoebox" because of its box-like shape, which Ford carried over with minor grille changes to the 1950 and 1951 models. With its clean, simple lines integrating the fenders with the body and accented by a dramatic and artful bullet nose grille, the shoebox was a complete departure from the 1948 model. Running a correct flathead V8 and three-speed manual transmission with overdrive, this beautifully restored shoebox Ford wears striking red paint with all new chrome and trim. SMS fabrics have been used to complete the interior in the correct material. The car drives better than new with no issues. Ready for cruise or show, this one is a real looker.
