<B>1950-D 5C MS67 Five Full Steps NGC.</B></I> The 1950-D nickel is one of the best-known issues from the 20th century. It was widely hoarded at the time of issue and was the centerpiece of the roll market in the early 1960s. Approximately one in ten '50-D nickels have five full steps. However, most examples are plagued with problems other than strike, such as indifferent luster and evidence of having been struck from heavily worn dies. This is an exceptionally lustrous coin that has no noticeable abrasions on either side (after all, it is an MS67), and each side is covered with even golden-brown toning.
