<B>1950-60 Eddie Arcaro "Decade of Sports" Presentation Hickok Belt Award.</B></I> Directly from Arcaro's son Bobby, with his letter of provenance, comes this prestigious sporting award presented to the legendary jockey upon being named the top figure in the Sport of Kings for the 1950's. For the uninitiated, Arcaro was a two-time winner of the illustrious Triple Crown, with seventeen total wins in the Kentucky Derby, Preakness and Belmont races. The leather belt bears a large and elaborate buckle reading, "S. Rae Hickok Award, Decade of Sports, 1950-60." Smaller plaques flanking the buckle read "Eddie Arcaro" and "Horse Racing." A large wood backing (8x16") holds the belt for display. While the annual Hickok belts carry strong collecting appeal, this example naming Arcaro the best of the decade is arguably ten times more desirable.
