This is a lovely 7 page program guide for the January 1, 1948 Tournament of Roses Parade. Inside, along with the schedule, there is a large photograph General Omar N. Bradley, the Grand Marshall, and of Virginia Goodhue, "Hail the Queen." A history of the origin and devlopment of this parade is also inside. On the back is an aerial photo of the Rose Bowl and the teams & scores since 1902. At the bottom, there is a fill in the blank for the current teams: Michigan and University of Southern California. Someone did fill these in (49 to 0). The cost of this official Guide was 25 cents back in the day. There is a round, 1/2 inch stain on the edge of the back, and bends (not creases) from handling, and a thin nip along the top edge of the front. The colors are bright & beautiful.
