<B>1947 Stan Musial Game Used Bat.</B></I> Used during a year sandwiched between The Man's two National League MVP seasons, this signature model Louisville Slugger M117 dates to the most productive offensive era in this Hall of Famer's fine career. Use is described by authenticator John Taube as "tremendous," a characterization that results from heavy ball and stitch marks, green bat rack marks, and swollen grain on rear barrel. The handle has been scored for a better grip, and exhibits a repaired crack that ended the lumber's tour of duty. About one-third of the knob is missing and the barrel exhibits some water and tape staining, but these small concerns cannot override the lure of the marvelous use and ideal vintage. Length is thirty-four inches, with a weight of thirty-three ounces. A 10/10 blue sharpie signature from the Cardinals legend completes the package. <I>LOA from Taube & Malta. LOA from PSA/DNA.
