<B>1947 Stan Musial Chesterfield Cigarettes Advertising Sign, Signed.</B></I> Though "The Man" took home the National League Most Valuable Player Trophy on three separate occasions, this colorful sign recalling the days when tobacco and baseball walked hand in hand is generally attributed to the year following Musial's 1946 honor. Regardless of one's personal convictions about the product Musial is touting, no collector of vintage advertising signs could fail to be impressed by this heavy cardboard 20.5x21.5" relic from a drugstore window. A degree of wear, visible in the form of scattered wrinkling and light staining, does little to detract from the marvelous aesthetics, and a 10/10 black sharpie autograph reading "Stan 'The Man' Musial" only heightens its charm.
