1947 Brooklyn Dodgers Team Signed Dinner Program. Two months to the day after the brave Jackie Robinson made his historic transversal of Major League Baseball's color line, he attended a testimonial dinner with the rest of the Bums in the Grand Ballroom of Brooklyn's Hotel St. George. An attendee of the event presented this program to twenty-five members of the National League Championship club, including Robinson himself, who signed in 9/10 pencil. The balance of the autographs are rendered in the same medium and strength, with the exception of three which appear in 10/10 ink. Other signers include Durocher, Reese, Hodges, Furillo, Casey, Hermanski, Branca and Barney. A vertical center fold touches only Durocher and one other, and some water staining at bottom left thankfully remains clear of every signature. Ancient tape inside once affixed program to a scrapbook, but does not touch the signed cover. An historic piece from very early in baseball's most important career. LOA from PSA/DNA.
