<B>1947 50C Booker T. Washington MS67 PCGS.</B></I> Many Booker T. Washington halves received rough handling at the various mints, and collector complaints were common, particularly about abrasions on the chin. Bowers (1991) cites a Mr. Hisken from Seattle who ordered 10 sets of 1947 coins and returned them all, having found none to his satisfaction. The condition of this Superb Gem, however, leaves no room for complaint. The highly lustrous and practically mark-free surfaces display rich tan-gold patina in the obverse fields and silver-gray toning elsewhere on the coin.
