<B>1946-S 5C --Doubled Die Obverse--MS65 NGC.</B></I> FS-031.5. DDO FS-031.5. Trumpet tail S. LIBERTY and the date are boldly doubled to the right and the surfaces have retained a slight golden hue. Interestingly, a raised curving line exists in Jefferson's ponytail and should be an easy way to identify this variety. In our September 2005 Long Beach Signature, lot 1954, an example of FS-031.5 certified as MS65 by PCGS realized $2,875.
