1946 All-Star Game Program & Ticket Stub. The great Ted Williams thrilled his hometown crowd by clubbing two long balls for the Fenway Midsummer Classic, leading the American League to a lopsided twelve to nothing shutout of the hapless Nationals. Presented is the very scarce program for that first postwar All-Star Game, and a matching stub. The program is considered the toughest of all issued for the All-Star Game following the Second World War, certainly due in large part to the fragile newsprint stock utilized. Our example is curled from having been rolled up for decades (though it could surely be flattened over time, and shows some chipping and smalll tears along the right edge of the cover. Program is unscored. The ticket stub has some paper loss at lower right and tape repairs, as well as creasing. In light of the tremendous scarcity, however, condition concerns for both pieces must be largely overlooked.

Shipping: Books & Catalogs (view shipping information)
