<B>1946 50C Iowa MS68 PCGS.</B></I> While the careful distribution of the Iowa commemorative offered hope for the future of the commemorative program, the conduct of Dr. S.J. Phillips, promoter of the notorious Booker T. Washington and Washington-Carver halves, more than cancelled out any goodwill. This wonderfully preserved and highly lustrous Iowa half sports immensely colorful green, orange, and crimson-ruby patina that forms a partial holder toning pattern on the obverse and appears in seemingly random patches on the reverse.
