<B>1945-S 5C Jefferson Nickel--Struck on a 3.3 Gram Silver Planchet--AU58 PCGS.</B></I> This piece is struck on a silver planchet that weighs 3.3 grams. The weight does not appear to correspond with any world coins struck at the San Francisco Mint in either 1944 or 1945, although it is possibly an obsolete blank from some earlier coinage. It appears to be a well made planchet rather than a fragment from a planchet.
