1945 Paul Waner Game Used Bat. Collectors of New York Yankees lumber should clamber for this intensely scarce lumber, utilized by the Hall of Fame outfielder during his "blink and you'll miss it" tenure in pinstripes to close out his professional career. Yankee team records indicate a 1945 ship date for this signature model Louisville Slugger W45L, assuring this most special vintage. Weight and length are thirty-four ounces and thirty-five and three-quarter inches respectively. Exceptional use is clearly evident in the form of heavy ball and stitch marks, spike holes and streaks of red paint from the bat rack. The knob still holds a cracking coating of the red paint used by Waner to identify his personal bat. The cracked handle has been professionally repaired, and seven nails have been driven into the barrel for reasons that are unclear. With half a point lost for a chip in the knob, the bat is graded 7.5 by Dave Bushing, the highest possible without direct provenance. This will surely be your only chance to add Paul Waner to your Hall of Fame Yankees collection, so bid now or forever hold your peace. LOA from Dave Bushing.

Shipping: Bats, Clubs, Sticks, Swords, Rif (view shipping information)
