<B>1942-S 50C MS67 NGC.</B></I> Trumpet Tail S. It is easy to see why this coin was graded at MS67, on the basis of sheer eye appeal alone. Close examination of the piece also confirms its remarkable technical quality. The design elements are powerfully brought up on both sides, including relatively strong (though not quite full) definition on Liberty's hand and thumb. The lustrous surfaces have been carefully preserved, as evidenced by their lack of significant blemishes. Perhaps the most noteworthy attribute, however, is the rich, variegated cobalt-blue, golden-tan, and lavender peripheral toning that adorns the obverse and increases the visual allure.
