<B>1942-S 50C MS67 NGC.</B></I> This frosty Superb Gem is fully lustrous with brilliant obverse and reverse surfaces that are framed by light peripheral iridescence. This date is seldom found sharply struck, and this example is no exception, although the details of the central hand are partly visible. The central skirt lines fade out above Liberty's knee on this piece. Similarly, the eagle's breast feathers are mostly present but they are not crisply defined. However, this piece is a splendid representative and rare in such high grade, with no finer examples currently certified by either NGC or PCGS.
