<B>1942-S 50C MS67 NGC.</B></I> This frosty Superb Gem has a mostly brilliant obverse and reverse that are framed by light peripheral iridescence. The surfaces glow with mint luster, and this in addition to the remarkably clean surfaces accounts for this coin's grade. This issue is seldom found sharply struck. This example is far above average, with partial details visible on Liberty's hand, head, and skirt lines. The eagle's breast feathers are mostly present on the reverse. This is an absolutely splendid representative of this scarce S-mint. Rare in such high grade, with no finer examples certified by either NGC or PCGS.
