1942-S 1C MS67 Red NGC. The strike is full, and the cherry-red surfaces are as bright and lustrous as those of any Lincoln Cent which we have recently examined. Seemingly pristine on the reverse, there are some faint, light-bluish roller marks near the lower rim. A small pinhole is seen near the lower obverse rim, with no other post-striking defects to be found. Some silvery patina rests upon the jaw and forehead of Mr. Lincoln, while some scratchy-looking chatter, on Lincoln's shoulder, is "as made", and should not have affected the coin's grade. Only one example of this issue has been graded finer by the combined forces of NGC and PCGS. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment. Also please note that all Heritage/CAA lots purchased through eBay Live carry a 20% Buyer's Premium. Please make sure you read the Terms and Conditions.
