<B>1942 Babe Ruth Culver Service Photograph, Type 1.</B></I> Paper caption on verso attributes this scene to the Babe's practice session before meeting old nemesis Walter Johnson in a duel to benefit the war effort. Recently the home run Ruth hit this day, considered to be the Bambino's last long ball, sold at auction for $86,250. Edge wear is evident, but image area remains almost entirely free of defects. "Culver Pictures, Inc." stamping on verso 7x9". Confirmed as "Type 1" by PSA/DNA. CGC grade: Good.
