1942 50C Walking Liberty Half--Double Struck in Collar, Close Overlap--XF45 PCGS. This dusky golden-brown and silver-gray mint error was struck twice by the dies, without the addition of a newly fed planchet between strikes. The piece was nearly stationary between the two blows, but evidence of the double strike is present beneath the date, which shows remnants of the date from the first strike. The T's in STATES are also doubled toward the rim. The lower third of the obverse is striated and recessed, presumably because of a mint-made strike-through.

Shipping: Coin/Currency (view shipping information)
