<B>1942/1-D 10C MS63 Full Bands PCGS.</B></I> Ex: Larry Shapiro More difficult to spot than its P-mint counterpart, the 1942/1-D variety first came to the attention of numismatists sometime in the early 1960s. Nonetheless, numerous Mint State examples survive. This satiny, untoned example shows both the overdate feature and the doubled IN GOD WE TRUST plainly. The strike is a bit soft on Liberty's highpoint hair, but the central reverse bands are fully split and fully rounded. Under a loupe, a light scrape appears on the bust truncation and on the lower diagonal, with a few miscellaneous reverse ticks.
