Produced by Colt in 1941. The left side of the matching numbered slide is marked with the two line, two block address/patent marking with the Rampant Colt in the center, "P" on top of the slide in front of the rear sight, and matching serial number around the firing pin. The left side of the frame is marked with Col. Robert Sears' boxed "R.S." cartouche above the magazine catch and "P" below it, with "T/ VP" on the left side of the guard, "60" on the right, and the "No" style serial number on the right below the "UNITED STATES PROPERTY" and "M1911A1 U.S.ARMY" markings. The top of the frame is also stamped "R.S.", and the barrel is marked with a conjoined "HP" atop the chamber. Fitted with the wide checkered spur hammer, thumb safety, slide release, milled trigger and arched main spring housing. Grips are checkered walnut.
