Item/Description: Original copy and first edition print of "Here's How" featuring a deeply embossed and painted wood cover with brass hinges and leather binding.

"Here's How" is a post-Prohibition recipe book of vintage Southern mixed drinks published right after the Great Depression ended in 1939 and before the United States' entered World War II in December of 1941. This delightful cookbook embodies our capacity to rise above challenging times with a spirit of optimism and a well-crafted cocktail. It includes recipes for cocktails, highballs, and party mixes, along with witty commentary and whimsical illustrations in an Art Deco style. The recipes are often short and simple, making it an accessible guide for cocktail enthusiasts.

Here's How: Mixed Drinks, compiled and edited by W.C. Whitfield, and decorated by Tad Shell, was published in 1941 by Three Mountaineers Press, an Asheville, North Carolina-based company known for handmade crafts and wooden goods.
