<B>1940's Muddy Ruel Silver Major League Baseball Lifetime Pass.</B></I> Those who participated in our October 2005 Signature Auction will remember the exceptional 1924 Tour of Europe uniform and sweater consigned by the star backstop's son. Here we present yet another fine artifact deriving directly from the Muddy estate, the silver lifetime pass issued to him by League Presidents William Harridge and Ford Frick. The pass (3x4.25") resides in its original leather wallet and shows appropriate wear, but still displays beautifully. Given Ruel's tremendous baseball relevance as the catcher behind the plate for Ray Chapman's fatal beaning and Ruth's sixtieth home run of 1927, and the man who scored the 1924 World Series-winning run, a piece honoring his contributions to the game should hold particular appeal for serious baseball historians.
