1940's Full Uniform Attributed to the New Jersey Eagles of the Negro Leagues (4) (Exceedingly Rare)
Across the front of the jersey is the team name "EAGLES" done in red felt lettering. Player number "2" appears on the back, also done in red felt, but has some wear. On the left sleeve is the "HEALTH" patch. The jersey is in excellent overall condition. The pants have no tagging but "SMUGTEX" is stamped inside the waistband in black. All of the original buttons are intact in the front. Included are two original stirrups. The uniform shows excellent game-use and appears to have no alterations of any kind. Our authenticators and consignor believe there is a strong possibility that this is a Negro Leagues Uniform. There is such a lack of photo's depicting these jerseys that is hard to say as a fact that this is indeed a Negro Leagues Uniform.
