<B>1940's Babe Ruth Signed Photograph in Boston Red Sox Uniform.</B></I> While the authenticators claimed that they could recall at least one other example of a Babe Ruth signed image in a Red Sox uniform, they were fairly confident that they had yet to encounter one of the Home Run King to be with a bat in his hands. The same certainly holds true for us here at Heritage, and we expect our most educated bidding clientele to understand what an exceptionally rare opportunity this offering presents. We readily note that both the print and the blue fountain pen inscription date to the later years of the Babe's life, though this later production date is largely to thank for the remarkable 9+/10 boldness of the "To Bob Lynn From Babe Ruth" inscription and the equally fine condition of the photo itself, printed upon an 8x10" sheet of photographic card stock.
