<B>1940's Babe Ruth Signed Photograph.</B></I> This classic image from the lens of the era's most noteworthy baseball photographer George Burke is further improved by the addition of a bold inscription from the photo's subject. The Sultan of Swat writes, at lower left, "To My Pal Chas Koehler Jr From Babe Ruth, the ink still projecting at an impressive strength of 9/10. Purely for the sake of accuracy, we note that the pen's ink flow began to fail the Babe during the word "From," causing him to refuel his ink supply and restart the word. His autograph reaps the benefits of this pause with unimprovable boldness. The 7x9" photo is likewise in wonderful condition, though a thin sliver of the upper border may have been trimmed at some point, as we detect a slight waviness. Only the most eagle-eyed could spot this, however, and it has zero effect upon the visual power of the photo. Otherwise, there is not a crease, stain or tear to be found.
