<B>1940's-50's Joe DiMaggio Wire Photographs Lot of 7.</B></I> Terrific lot of seven wire photos is highlighted by an image capturing a moment in time that would change baseball history forever. In the shot, Joe DiMaggio looks down upon an injured rookie Mickey Mantle, who had just badly injured his knee during Game Two of the 1951 World Series. Five other shots also find Joltin' Joe in action, with the last shot in the bunch picturing Joe and Mickey at an Old Timers event. Most have original paper captions affixed. Five measure 8x10" in size, the other two 7x9". Some show editing marks. All remain in fine condition. Confirmed as "Type 1" by PSA/DNA.
