<B>1940-S<50C> MS67 NGC.</B></I> This beautiful Superb Gem is remarkably free from contact. The obverse is immaculate, as is the reverse field, and it takes extreme patience and a strong loupe to finally locate a few minuscule ticks on the eagles' extremities. Satin luster and a hint of olive-gold and steel-blue toning combine for exquisite eye appeal. The branch hand is soft, and the cheek and upper skirt lines lack absolute detail, but the strike is above average for this San Francisco issue. As of (9/06), NGC and PCGS combined have certified eight pieces as MS67, with none finer.
