<B>1940 National League All-Star Team Signed Baseball.</B></I> A first inning home run by Max West proved to be all the Nationals would need at this Sportsman's Park Midsummer Classic, as five NL pitchers joined forces to blank an American League line-up stacked with the likes of DiMaggio, Foxx, and Ted Williams. The hero of the day appears just below Mel Ott on the side panel of this ONL (Frick) ball, joined by twenty-three other members of the victorious Senior Circuit. Other notables: Mize, Medwick, McKechnie, Stengel, Hubbell, Walters, Herman and Durocher. That's nine Hall of Famers! Autograph quality ranges from 4/10 to 9/10, with all Hall of Famers at the upper end of that expanse.
