American Numismatic Association. OFFICIAL PROGRAM. 1940 CONVENTION OF THE AMERICAN NUMISMATIC ASSOCIATION. Detroit, Aug. 24-29, 1940. 8vo, original printed card covers. (20) pages; illustrated. Very good or better. [with] Detroit Coin Club. THE DETROIT KORN CLUB SNOOZE. "First & Last Issue," Aug. 28, 1940, "Price 1 Saw Buck." Single sheet, 28 by 16.5 cm, printed on one side. Folded. Fine. [with] Detroit Coin Club and American Numismatic Association. ANNUAL BANQUET. MENU AND PROGRAM. Detroit, Aug. 28, 1940. 20 by 12.5 cm. Card stock, folded to make four pages. Fine. The relatively common Official Program for the 1940 ANA Convention, with two rare inserts. The Detroit Korn Club Snooze is a humorous flyer presenting "the eighty-seven regular committees who have toiled day and night for this convention," all of which were made up of General Chairman George W. Needels, and managing to print a rather condensed three-act play, From Rags to Riches, by "Horatio Mehl," involving a poor family finding a 1913 Liberty Nickel and selling it to the other Mehl.
