<B>1939-S 50C Oregon MS67 PCGS.</B></I> The Oregon Trail commemorative series ran intermittently from 1926 until 1939, a span of 13 years. By comparison, the two cent piece lasted only 10 years, and the Trade dollar just 12, if one counts the clandestine issues of 1884 and 1885. This 1939-S half, one of just 3,005 examples coined for that final-year issue, exhibits ruby-orange patina over the obverse periphery and silver-gray over large portions of the Indian and map. The reverse displays pleasing luster beneath even bronze toning.
