This 1939 letter sent from President Franklin D. Roosevelt to famed Missouri Senator and statesman Harry B. Hawes speaks about foreign policy concerns of Hawes' in Europe and Asia and how the President shares his sentiments. It is signed by Roosevelt and in clean condition - but appears to have a handprint on the stationary. The letter is framed alongside a copy of the President's portrait as well as a tag bearing his name. This letter is a unique window into American foreign policy discussions before the beginning of the Second World War.
