This pistol has the all salt blued finish, including the small parts, and is fitted with checkered walnut grips. The top of the chamber area is dated 1939 for the year of manufacture with the desirable "Mauser Banner" logo on top of the front toggle. The right side of the barrel extension has the early Mauser double "Nazi eagle/655" Waffenamt proof, next to the single eagle firing proof. Both proofs are also stamped on the upper rear end of the barrel, with the full serial number and bore diameter. "8,82" marked on the underside of the barrel. The left side of the breechblock also carries the single Nazi eagle firing proof. The upper safety area and extractor are both marked "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" respectively. This luger is complete with one original late production type three, "fxo/eagle 37" marked, all blued, magazine with the black plastic army type base with the reinforcing pin through the center. The bottom of the base has been lightly numbered, '8871'.
