1939 Dated Mauser Banner "Eagle/C" Nazi Police P.08 Luger Pistol Rig

This is an excellent example of an early 1939 dated Mauser Banner Police Luger pistol rig with the scarce "Eagle/C" Police proof. These were produced in a very short production run (1,360 total) in early 1939 before Mauser switched to the standard "Eagle/L" Police proof. The top of the chamber area is lightly stamped "1939" for the year of manufacture with the large Mauser Banner logo on the front toggle. The scarce early "Eagle/C" Police proof is stamped on the right side of the receiver, along with an equally rare "Simson/Eagle 6" part proof, indicating this barrel extension was a subcontract part from the Simson Company. The left side of the barrel extension and breech bolt both have the commercial "Crown/U" proofmark. The full serial number "1247w" is stamped on the front of the frame, with "1247" stamped and the left side of the barrel extension, and underside of the barrel with the last two digits of the serial number (47) stamped on the various small parts. The pistol has a salt blue finish and checkered walnut grips. This beautiful Police Luger rig is complete with two matching all blued Haenel Schmeisser marked magazines. The aluminum base are marked, "1/1247" and "2/1247". It is complete with a brown leather Police holster, marked on the back "KERN KLAGER & Cie/1939/BERLIN/Police Eagle" proofmark and an "Eagle/63" proofed takedown tool.

Manufucture: Mauser

BBL: 3 7/8 inch round
Stock:
Guage: 9 mm Luger
Finish: blue
Grips: walnut
Serial Number: 1247w

Fine with 75% faded blue finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots. The grips straps have lost some of their finish now mixed with a streaked brown patina. The grips are very good overall showing wear across the checkering. The holster is fine with a nice medium brown color overall, nice tight stitching and clear sharp markings on the back.
